Just send him back down the road. If he can't get fit enough after 6 or so weeks of training then he's never going to do it.
You sometimes wonder what professional footballers do with their spare time other than go to Nandos. I understand you can't over train but if they are not performing to the best of their abilities you get them on a specialist programme with one of the the coaches. I've done it plenty of times in Football manager.

Making up the numbers……. Or maybe Jack Ross showing just how poor the signings have been?

I wonder how much we spend on sports science etc, etc...

Because this begs the questions;

Was he unfit when signed? If so why did we immediately select him?

Has he become more fit since he signed? Or less fit?

I think he's a disgrace. There should be zero tolerance of this and he should be sent back to Hull.

Not his kind of game anyway.
It will be a battle on a sticky pitch.
We need guys willing to roll the sleeves up, bite and scratch and hustle.
Unfortunately.......

We dont appear to have any.
Gogic may be the exception.

Never thought him the superb player others seem to think he is.
On his day he could be , better from the bench these days quite possibly down to medical conditions

Look what he did when he came back a few weeks ago? I think he needs to get his match fitness up but it's been very stop start. Looking likely it'll be his last season here anyway.

Only way to get match fitness up is to start games

We will need to find a replacement with creativity if he does . 🤷‍♂️

I think you've given the reason as to his brilliance.
SJM made Grealish look good....

Thats the thing really.
In his first season he had the likes of McGeouch, Robertson, Fyvie and even Liam Craig doing alot of the work.
Second season he had McGinn.

Scott was great going forward, but he needed those players behind him letting him have free reign in the attacking area.

When he was brought back under Lennon I actually thought we were better when he wasn't playing. Our best game that season (imo) was when we played and beat Celtic at Easter Road and he wasn't eligible. It allowed McGinn to do the ball work and he was unplayable that day.

Hes a luxury, a nice luxury when it works, but you have to sacrifice a lot to let him try and if it doesn't work there's not alot of point using him.

This squad can't carry him, the league is alot more hard working than that now.
Henderson was a better player imo. Not just for his corners, but all round game.

We need a Fyvie type right now.

James Scott has been impressive in training and Shaun wants to keep him around to fight for minutes on the park.

I still think he looked half decent in his first game, which was what? The day after he arrived?
Not so much in his sparing appearances since that day in fairness, reckon there's a player in there.
Whether he has or gets enough time to find his match sharpness and show it is a different matter though, plenty competition up that end of the park now.
