Released from Motherwell worked with Terry and Dempster.
Be a class signing even now.
McFadden is a cracking player when he wants to be.
Leave him just behind a striker (a position Butcher uses) and let him do his thing.
Could have plenty to offer younger guys too.
I work with an Aberdeen fan who says Vernon is okay, not good enough for where Aberdeen want to be, but reckons he's good enough for us....
That's what other people think of our club :banger:

That's just patronising pish though Hammi...
never believe a sheep.....baaaaaa
I am sure a marquee signing like McFadden or such like would not only help boost confidence at the club but assist in selling season tickets and show some ambition. The fact he fits butchers style of play is a big plus.
i appreciate the club has to wait until after the lay offs before conducting business but surely such a signing prior to the playoffs would offer a huge lift?

They'll be the ones after the play offs I assume

If Motherwell have released him and based on his time back there then it is not really a marquee signing. I think he would be a good signing, he does still have touches of class and can help other players. Think this is in the same bracket as KT played at a better level than rest of squad and stands out for that, plus like KT when they want to they will show the passion and fight when it's time to get stuck in. Wonder if Leanne Dempster would have any sway in this possible move.
What do we think; could he serve Hibs for a year, or is he too much of a crock? I know he played really 'well' againt us. Sorry no pun intended!!
tbutchert
Motherwell have released him as he's on too much .
Wouldn't take Vernon in a lucky bag...he's not good enough for where we want to be either
A distinct possibility IMO...if we avoid relegation
At 31 McFadden's best days are clearly behind him, but his overall quality, goalscoring ability and experience would be a huge asset for Hibs IMO if he could keep himself fit. Here would be a player to lead the line, someone who would be feared by opponents. He would also be a huge help to the likes of Cummings, Collins and Handling.

McFadden's a great player but too injury prone IMO...how many games did he actually play for Motherwell last season ?
Player assistant coach?
Naebody else seems tae want tae be number2
