Doesn’t mean to say the club wouldn’t offer more in order that they get their player. The report says people close to Doig mention Arsenal as his preferred choice, 4/5 million up front is nothing to them where Watford were rounding up to 4 million with the add on’s which was rejected. Arsenal could offer the full amount up front plus give us add on’s over a certain amount of games with a decent sell on clause, it’s going to be interesting that’s for sure and if it does happen I hope our recruitment team have a ready made replacement lined up.
If they want to offer more, they offer it to the player, not the club.
Poor business sense paying more for something that already has a value.
If we accept say.. 4 mil plus adds, then that's the value regardless of who offers that money.
