I don't think we have a good or big enough squad to compete in so many games in such a short time. So from November 24th until January 3rd we have 12 games including the cup final. December could either or make or break our season. The concern is about injury and fatigue to our players playing every 3-4 days.

We have been extremely unlucky with the Covid outbreak. It's seriously underminded our chances of success this season as we have had to re-schedule two games into an already packed month of December. We are also victims of our own success as we have the League Cup Final right in the middle of it all. The league won't change any matches. They have already moved games at our request and won't do so again.

Celtic will be playing Ross County on the Wednesday before the cup final so Hibs will have an additional preparation day for the final anyway as we play Dundee the night before at Easter Road. The thing is though Celtic have such a huge squad compared to ours so the fixture pile-up won't affect them as much as it will Hibs, there is no doubt our league performances and results will suffer because of the massive amount of games we have to play in a short period. IMO we are going to see a few under 18's drafted in to the first team squad because Ross is going to have to rotate players from now on until the end of the year.

Cup Final we do need to be at as near to full strength as we can be to have a realistic chance.

It is madness but let’s face it these are the kind of schedules we would face if we were to manage to get to where we aspire to be and in to the group stages of a European competition and wouldn’t be just for only the 1 month.
