Big G, you know that I love you but if we do get another referendum dinnae get all better together with some of these wankers.
Well there is no chance of that Michael. Never happened first time round wouldn't happen next time.

I was disgusted that Labour were involved with Tories and Tory Lite. Just before the Ref. I was on Leith Links at Leith Festival and met Mark Lazarowicz my MP at the time who attended a 'No' tent thang. He knew me, however you are backing a Deuce I told him, Labour will suffer because of this Blairite shit. He disagreed. He lost his seat to the SNP.

No breach of code.

Sums it up

It'll be very interesting to see how Labour and the Lib Dems vote in the no confidence nonsense. It would be great if they grew some balls and told dross and the mooth to GTF. But then again.......

Given the unionist parties are joined at the hip and saw this as a way to derail the SNP, Indy2 and the independence movement it would be a shocker if they didn't collaborate again.

Today the harassment committee release their report, and on Wednesday it is rumoured Salmond will be holding a press conference to outline what he does next.

Meant to quote this in too I’m thick as mince at this

Hopefully its to shut his cakehole and get on with fighting for independence.

Wrong. It is indisputable though when Anas Sanwar said "Yet even the most ardent SNP supporter must recognise the women who complained were let down by the Government and that half a million pounds was wasted defending the indefensible in court."

It's getting on my tits now.
Can all those terrified of NS and the SNP, please make their mind up if she had a witch hunt against him, or she tried to cover it all up?

As an ardent SNP supporter do you agree with what Sanwar, of whom I am no fan, said......

There should no airbrushing of this by any honest Nationalist worth their salt.

Well she clearly didn’t cover up, someone in her team leaked it at short notice to the daily record to ensure it went public before salmond got reporting restrictions in place - as agreed with government.

I’ve not read the report, but the two initial complainers have been treated shabbily. No one is going to come forward with complaints against Sturgeons team are they?

I can’t see the snp taking him back. He’d easily put 10% on another Indy list party which would equate to around 15 seats. I can’t see him getting back involved though.

I agree, but it would suit me if he put up or shut up. But then I never liked the man much.

I don’t like him, or the cult around his leadership. I don’t like Sturgeon either and her cult is even worse.

quicker we get Indy done and never see him or her again the better

I've not seen anywhere where anyone has said the women were not let down. To be honest while the torys waste billions and Labour let it go almost unnoticed I don't really give a shit about half a million.

To try and put that sort of money into something that's more easily understood.

500,000 seconds is nearly 6 days.

1 billion seconds is more the 31 and a half years! How many billions have the torys squandered or squirrelled away while Keir Starmer plays the nodding dog?

Daft response. Though by anyone's standards an admission that they made an arse of it at least. Calling out myself of all people about Sir Starmers response and acquiescence highlights that you don't really do irony Jack.

I was putting £500,000 in context.

In Holyrood its a whale in a bucket while billions at Westminster barely cause a ripple in the ocean.

Seems that was one of the points you and the opposition in Holyrood were making.

£500,000 of public money in an attempt to kill off any political comeback by your predecessor is a lot of money.

If this was Boris Johnson doing this In a court battle with Theresa May you would rightly be going tonto.

Yes, that Westminster lot have blown far more in their incompetence, corruption and deceit. However, I thought that the entire purpose of the SNP was to offer an alternative to the corrupt stench of the status quo?

Our crown office is working on the instructions of the Scottish Government. It isn't independent. It stinks. And it's not the folk I want to move us forward....

500 grand is nothing in the scheme of things. Anyone hitching their grievance to that horse can’t be taken seriously

The same MP’s who blatantly ignore the billions given to tory cronies for useless ppe and unworkable track n trace

genuine question big fella.
How were the women let down by the goverment? The procurator fiscal decided their was enough evidence to charge AS , a jury were not convinced of his guilt , and acquitted him. I can't recall any evidence from the government which was favourable to his case.
From my confused position, NS seems accused of trying to cover up for him, and also carrying out a witch hunt against him. What am I missing? If can't be both.

But taking on a private citizen, running up costs like that in the hope you’ll break him or he’ll run out of money when you’re the government and you’ve got a bottomless pit, that’s shithousery.

the case they were defending was always unstateable. And the cost for government is probably the same again as the 500k was just Salmonds legal costs.

Nothing has been learned from this, it’s being celebrated as a Victory by Sturgeon. She would do it all again.

The women were let down by the initial government investigation, and by having their complaints referred to the police against their explicit wishes.

and the leak to the daily record...they particularly stressed how upsetting that was

Spot on Bobby. Splendid and refreshing to have a couple of Nationalists on here, like yourself, my good friend mike t and few others who do not slavishly toe the SNP Party line without criticism.
