Well after a tough game on Saturday, its off to Forfar for the first time since the 1930's the morn's night. More team changes expected with Paul Hanlon called up for Scotland, and Jamie Murphy, Lewis Stevenson, Joe Newell and Drey Wright all injured, Josh Doig self-isolating, Ryan Porteous, Paul McGinn, Alex Gogic, and Ofir Marciano all on international duty and Scott Allan ruled out on medical grounds. A full team. I hear we are down to 13 outfield players?

Its another ground I would love to have seen Hibs play at, never having done so beore.

Forfar are showing the game on Forfar TV for £12.50, it may be the only way to see it too. See here for details.

Team for me.....

Barnes

Hallberg Gray McGregor Mackie

S McGinn

Mallan
Boyle Gullan

Doidge Nisbet

It is.

what’s going on with the development players are they back training? Is there no CB there that could make the step up for this game?

They're all out on loan

We are really down to the bare bones for this game.

I expect we will see Sean Mackie in at left-back...remember he himself is not long back to full time training after being out injured for many months. Halberg at right-back I would think. Hopefully Gullan starts.

The Doig situation is ridiculous and a total disgrace. If he has been tested and doesn't have the virus he should be allowed to resume training with Hibs and be available for selection..

Just play a front 8 with Sir David and Daz taking care of business at the back. Nae bother

I disagree re Doig, it takes 14 days to show symptoms, no danger im wanting him affecting a whole team.. he’ll be back in no time. Far better safe, than destroying our season

I'd start Magennis if fit

Hanlon injured according to Jack Ross interview, hope I got that wrong! Scotland cap long overdue!

What an away trip it would have been. Ground Zero for bridies.

We stop for Bridies in Forfar every away game at Aberdeen, its become part of that away game tradition.

Same. We're saddlers men usually. The soup is also decent.

Its Saddlers for us too. Although I hear the butchers facing also do a mean one but only sell them cold for cooking at home.

What kind of self respecting Forfar-based Bridie outlet only provides cold goods? Unacceptable.

I know, but I may try them one day. Indeed might seek out a local Stephens Steak bridie seller after this conversation.

We are indeed down to the bare bones. No way could we put a strong team out for an important league match but in saying that they're all players that Forfar could only dream about. Just saying that for a bit of perspective. Its up to these players to show they deserve to be in our first team squad.

Pretty much how it's gonna be. I would like to see Doidge and Boyle rested though.

I think Scotmid sell them this side of the Forth, still working so it will have to be another day.

14 days to show symptoms, but you have the virus and are contagious before the symptoms appear.

So if he's not got the virus now, then he's not going to spontaneously develop it?

Unless I'm wrong about the above of course ?‍♂️

No wingers and 3 strikers. Might need to pass the ball though the middle rather than run with it down the flanks. No bad thing. Even with the players out it's still a pretty strong 11 even if the bench is looking a bit like empty.

Its far too easy over the weekend when the hunger pangs kick in especially after a night on the sauce

I am really interested to see how the lad Shanley plays. Seen him earlier this season, and he looked sharp.

Stovies from there also excellent

Aye. He's got pace too. Can see him linking wide on the right with Hallberg.

I think Magennis or Mallan will be on the right, with the other beside McGinn. Reckon Gullan is playing left wing.
