Johnny Hayes would be a tremendous signing if we could get him. I know he is cracking on a bit, but you do need some old heids in your team and he has played at a good level for quite a few years and is a very good player. Gogic I think is more of a holding, battling midfielder and we certainly need that going by last season's evidence.
What we really require in our team though is leadership. An experienced heid in the middle of the park to control things and hold things together when we are under pressure.
Pace is always welcome where ever it comes from...for me you can't ever get enough pace into your team. Full-backs are another key positions we are going to have to get right for next season. Lewis has been a tremendous servant to the club, is a club legend, and hopefully till has a few years left in him at this level. By his standards he had a poor season last term but I am still convinced that was down to spending the entire pre-season injured. At 32 he is on the way down as is every player at that age. Ross has to decide if he can either get a better left-back than him from elsewhere or is Sean Mackie ready to come in and replace him ? If neither of those is an option then Lewis should stay as first choice left-back. A fit Sir David would also be my first choice a right-back, but if he is unable to play much more, then Jason Naismith I think is a decent option there if we can agree terms with him.
